Festival Marketplaces at Disneyland Resort, FAQS
Festival marketplaces are food booths that Disney California Adventure Park erects for special seasonal events at the park. They are called “festival marketplaces” because they usually correspond with limited-time festivals offered at the park. Imagine the food booths you might find at a street fair or market. That’s the kind of thing you can expect with festival marketplaces. However, all of the booths are owned and operated by Disney. When are festival marketplaces at Disneyland Resort?
The festival marketplaces are primarily linked to the festivals that take places at Disney California Adventure Park at various times. In recent years, those festivals have been Lunar New Year (roughly mid-January to mid-February), Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival (typically in March and April) and Disney Festival of Holidays (usually running from mid-November to early January).
Disney California Adventure Park has also used festival marketplaces for other limited-time celebrations. For example, they were part of Pixar Fest in 2024.
Where can I find festival marketplaces at Disneyland Resort?
Festival marketplaces are linked to the seasonal festivals at Disney California Adventure Park and are located at in that park. You can find them in that park during festivals like Lunar New Year, Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival and Disney Festival of the Holidays.
What is a Sip and Savor Pass?
A Sip and Savor Pass is a bundle of “coupons” you can buy for one flat price at Disney California Adventure Park during that park’s festivals. You can then exchange the coupons for one food or beverage item each.
The latest iteration of the Sip and Savor Pass has both a physical and digital component. The coupons are digital and are tracked and deducted at the time you order your items. You exchange your coupons for menu items by scanning your physical pass at a dining location while entering a 4-digit code.

Do I need a Sip and Savor Pass to get food from the festival marketplaces?
You do not need a Sip and Savor Pass to purchase food from festival marketplaces. The festival marketplaces accept Sip and Savor Passes, but they also have listed prices for food and beverage items. You can use conventional forms of payment like cash and credit cards as well as Disney gift cards to purchase these items.
Do I need a Sip and Savor Pass or a special ticket to visit the festival marketplaces at Disney California Adventure Park?
You do not need a special separate festival ticket or Sip and Savor Passes to visit the festival marketplaces at Disney California Adventure Park. You do, however, need valid admission to Disney California Adventure Park in order to enter the park and visit the marketplaces.
Valid admission could take the form of tickets or Magic Keys. There is an additional cost for food or beverage items from the festival marketplaces. You can pay this cost using coupons from a purchased Sip and Savor Pass or by paying for the items directly.
Why would I get a Sip and Savor Pass?
A Sip and Savor Pass costs a flat fee (typically with a discount for Magic Key holders). If you exchange your Sip and Savor coupons for higher-priced items, you can get good value out of your pass. This could save you money compared to paying out of pocket.
Additionally, some guests feel the Sip and Savor Pass adds convenience and a celebratory feeling to their visit to Disney California Adventure Park festivals. As a bonus, the physical portion of the pass usually includes some kind of unique artwork, and guests like to collect them as souvenirs.
Are the festival marketplaces always the same?
The festival marketplaces are not always the same! They change from festival to festival and represent the theme of the festival, often mixed with contemporary culinary trends.
Here are some examples from the 2026 Year of the Horse Lunar New Year festival happening at the time of writing: Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron at Bamboo Blessings, Red Envelope Margarita from Lucky 8 Lantern and Kung Pao Bao from Prosperity Bao and Buns. For comparison, here are some menu items from the Disney Festival of Holidays which started before Thanksgiving 2025 and wrapped-up in the early days of 2026: Holiday Turkey Leg with cranberry sauce from A Twist on Tradition, Garage Brewing Co. Churro Ale from Brews & Bites and Al Pastor Mac & Cheese from Holiday Duets.
As you can see, the booths themselves and the menu items at those booths celebrate the themes of their host festivals.
Are festival marketplaces the only places I can get food during Disney California Adventure Park festivals?
No. Festival marketplaces are a fun feature offered at Disney California Adventure Park festivals, but they are not the only places to eat. The park’s regular dining locations are also operating (subject to their hours and refurbishments), and some of the permanent eateries even offer special limited-time menu items during festivals.
