When is the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival at Disneyland Resort?

The exact dates of the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival change slightly from year to year, but you can typically expect it to pop-up in the spring for the months of March and April.

This festival spans both calm and busy weeks at Disneyland Resort: Spring Break weeks from mid March through Easter Week should be the busiest with others being lighter.

For 2026, the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival is running from March 6 to April 27.

Where can I find Food and Wine Festival offerings at Disneyland Resort?

All of the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival offerings at Disneyland Resort are currently based in Disney California Adventure Park with a few bonus offerings spilling into the Downtown Disney District.

As the name suggests, food and wine are at the heart of the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival. Both are showcased at the festival marketplaces, which you can find around Disney California Adventure Park.

Additionally, permanent dining locations around Disney California Adventure Park also feature special dishes for the festival. Depending on the year, this may also be true for eateries outside Disney California Adventure Park. For example, Disney Wonderful World of Sweets in Downtown Disney District is offering a special Remy Caramel Apple for the 2026 festival. We have also seen special “bookable offerings” take place at Disneyland Resort Hotels in the past.

A few other fun extras are usually part of the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival. First, our favorite version of Soarin’ returns for the festival. The attraction is running as usual, but you will be hang-gliding over iconic California locations during the festival with the original Soarin’ film: Soarin’ Over California.

There are also culinary-themed character costumes and a slate of special entertainment for the festival. Be sure to check the Disneyland Resort entertainment schedule for your particular visit dates.

What are Festival Marketplaces?

Festival Marketplaces are special food kiosks or booths set-up for the duration of the festival. They offer limited-time food and drinks meant to showcase the delicious bounty and culinary legacy of California. Individual marketplaces have loose themes connecting their offerings and all meant to refer back to the larger theme of Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival.

The Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival features festival marketplaces but so do other festivals at Disney California Adventure Park. An example of this would be the seasonal Lunar New Year celebration which begins around mid-January and wraps up shortly before Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival begins. Though the physical booth structures may be reused, you will usually see a change in themes and menus to match the festival.

Do I need to buy a special ticket for the Food and Wine Festival at Disneyland Resort?

No. Access to the festival marketplaces are included with general admission to Disney California Adventure Park during the festival dates. You do not need to buy a separate ticket, but remember the wine and food dishes themselves are not included with general admission.

You will need to pay for the food and wine items you would like to try and for special “bookable” offerings you might like to do. Examples of bookable offerings with additional fees include things like wine tasting seminars and mixology classes.

On the other hand, concerts, shows, character greetings and some culinary demonstrations are included with general admission as are standard park offerings like the attractions and entertainment.

You can typically purchase something called a “Sip and Savor Pass” to use while sampling food from the festival marketplaces, but this is not an admission ticket. Plus, you can purchase festival food without a Sip and Savor Pass.

What is a Sip and Savor Pass, and how can I use it at the festival at Disneyland Resort?

When you purchase a Sip and Savor Pass for Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival, you receive a themed card representing four or eight digital coupons. You can redeem these coupons for individual “tasting size” food and beverage offerings during the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival.

To use the Sip and Savor Pass, scan the pass and enter a special four digit code to exchange your coupons for menu items at Festival Marketplaces or other participating dining locations at Disney California Adventure Park. Each eligible item uses one coupon credit. The passes expire at the end of the festival.

Can I use my Sip and Savor Pass at other Disneyland Festivals?

The Sip and Savor Pass for Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival expires at the end of that festival and cannot be used at other festivals, even if those other festivals also offer their own Sip and Savor Passes.

As long as you have coupons left, you can use your Sip and Savor Pass over the course of multiple days, but any remaining coupons will expire at the end of the festival.

Do I need a Sip and Savor Pass to purchase food during festivals?

You do not need a Sip and Savor Pass in order to order food and beverages during Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival. Many guests buy the passes for the collectible design and the festive novelty of using them. This year, the pass also comes with a collectible plate.

Depending on the items you order, they may also save you some money with a Sip and Savor Pass. For more on the Sip and Savor Pass, see our glossary entry here: Sip and Savor Pass, Disneyland 101 Glossary
