Disneyland Resort FAQs with Mouse Brief: Where is Disneyland?

“Disneyland” could refer to a few different places, but if you are searching for the “Happiest Place on Earth” and the original Disney theme park, you will find it in Anaheim, California in the United States of America.

The Original Disneyland Park is in Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California

The original Disneyland Park is part of Disneyland Resort in Anaheim at 1313 South Harbor Boulevard. As of 2001, Disneyland Resort also has a second theme park: Disney California Adventure Park.

Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park plus the Downtown Disney District, three Disneyland Resort Hotels, the Esplanade and various infrastructure including parking, security and guest services make up the Disneyland Resort.

When you hear others referring to “Disneyland” they may be talking about the original Disneyland Park or Disneyland Resort as a whole. They may also be referring to other Disney parks outside of California and even the United States.

Anaheim, California 92802

Disneyland Resort is located right in the city of Anaheim in Orange County, California in the United States. While Walt Disney World in Florida is practically a city unto itself, Disneyland Resort is located right on the city streets of Anaheim. As a guest, this allows you easy access to nearby hotels, dining and public transportation not facilitated by the Walt Disney Company, which also gives you easy ways to save money. There are hotels directly across the street from Disneyland Resort that cost significantly less than the Disneyland Resort Hotels. Some “outside” hotels, like this one, even offer a closer walk to the parks than the Disneyland Hotel! Others offer park views.

Other Disney Parks Outside of California

There are six Disney resorts with theme parks, and they have twelve distinct theme parks between them. They are:

  • Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California USA with Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park
  • Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, USA with Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • Tokyo Disney Resort in Chiba, Japan with Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea
  • Disneyland Paris in Marne-la-Vallee, France with Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park
  • Hong Kong Disneyland Resort on Lantau Island, Hong Kong with Hong Kong Disneyland
  • Shanghai Disneyland Resort in Pudong, Shanghai, China with Shanghai Disneyland

There are also Disney vacation experiences that do not have theme parks like the Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club Resorts in Florida and South Carolina plus Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawai’i.

The Walt Disney Studios Are Not At Disneyland

  1. […] You can find addresses for all of these parking areas in our article: Where is Disneyland Located? […]

  2. […] Remember that Disneyland Resort does charge for parking. It does not charge for short guest drop-off… There are two guest drop-off areas: one east of the resort on Harbor Boulevard and one on the west side of the resort off Downtown Drive. We recommend using the Harbor Boulevard drop-off if you are headed straight to the parks and the Downtown Drive drop-off if you are visiting the Disneyland Resort Hotels or Downtown Disney itself. […]
