We have been sharing updates about Bramsen Tropical Forests, the massive new outdoor primate habitat now open at Brookfield Zoo Chicago. Today we have a new and exciting update to share. Timed entry tickets are no longer required to visit Tropical Forests.
In the initial opening period for this brand new habitat, you needed to make reservations to enter. Now, Tropical Forests is open to all guests, so you can enter without booking a timed entry ticket. You simply need general admission tickets (or a membership) to enter Brookfield Zoo Chicago, and admission to Tropical Forests is included at no extra cost.
For our comprehensive guide to tickets, parking and generally enjoying a visit to Brookfield Zoo Chicago, see our: Big Guide to Brookfield Zoo Chicago
You will find the new Tropical Forests just west of the zoo’s central Roosevelt Fountain. You can read about our experience on opening day and our impression of the new habitat here: Our Visit to the Brand New Tropical Forests at Brookfield Zoo Chicago. We have been back since that initial visit and are still in awe of the beautiful new space.
Now that you no longer need to specify the time of your visit, we recommend walking through Tropical Forests a few different times during your visit to Brookfield Zoo Chicago. The forest enclosures are large, and the animals get to decide how they use them. You may visit at one point during the day and see a gorilla just inches away on the other side of the glass, but at another time you may only get a quick glimpse of a gorilla obscure by a tree.
We hope that you too have a chance to visit soon. For other tips on what to do at Brookfield Zoo Chicago see:
