SAN FRANSOKYO SQUARE

This is an entry in our Disneyland 101 Glossary: Disneyland Resort definitions in under 101 words, from Mouse Brief.

At the time of writing, the newest area in Disney California Adventure Park is San Fransokyo Square. This land is themed after a wharf in the fictional city of San Fransokyo from the movie Big Hero 6. Because San Fransokyo represents a cultural fusion (San Francisco plus Tokyo), the food found here does too. While this area is mostly quick-service restaurants with shared outdoor seating, it also has shops, character greetings and a bakery tour. South of the water, San Fransokyo Square can be reached via a distinctive red bridge, but also by pathways from Cars Land.
