The Disneyland Monorail has been around since 1959 (though it has had some updates). The Monorail is a single-rail electric train with no direct emissions that Walt Disney looked at as a model for the future of transportation. This Monorail travels on a 2.5 mile elevated track around Disneyland Resort with two stations: one in Tomorrowland inside Disneyland Park and the other in the Downtown Disney District near Disneyland Hotel. Because it bypasses the main entrance and travels straight into Disneyland Park, guests need to have a park ticket in order to ride.
