Where can I find Buena Vista Street at Disneyland Resort?
Buena Vista Street is the entry land for Disney California Adventure Park. This means it will be the first area you encounter if you enter the park through the main entrance gates. (If you are using the second entrance out of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, you will end up in Grizzly Peak instead.)
Buena Vista Street is located on the northern end of the park and bordered by the main entrance to the north, Grizzly Peak to the west, Hollywood Land to the east. On the south end, is Avengers Campus, and the “street” kind of transitions into the Performance Corridor where parades and cavalcades happen.
Do I need a ticket to visit Buena Vista Street?

The Downtown Disney District is west of the theme parks on Disneyland Resort property and has restaurants, snack stands and shops as well as live entertainment and great ambience. You do need to pass through a Disneyland Resort security checkpoint in order to visit the Downtown Disney District, but you do not need a ticket.
What can I do on Buena Vista Street?
Buena Vista Street is the entrance land for Disney California Adventure Park. As such, it is a good place for taking care of the logistics of your theme park visit. It is home to locker rentals, first aid, and general guest relations and information.
There is plenty of shopping on Buena Vista street plus restaurants (more on that in the next FAQ).
There are no attractions on Buena Vista Street in the way there are in the entrance land of Disneyland Park, but that does not mean it is not a nice place to linger. You can meet some real characters here.
The Citizens of Buena Vista Street are cast members playing the parts of quirky residents of the land, and it is really fun to run into them. Buena Vista Street is meant to evoke an idealized version of Los Angeles as it was when Walt Disney first arrived a century ago, and the Citizens of Buena Vista Street welcome you into that time and place through their fun costumes, antics and banter. We like that they don’t come from any Disney movies or shows. Rather, they are the creation of Imagineers and the talented cast members who play them.
Five & Dime is a jazz combo that frequents Buena Vista Street. These folks provide fun music and some more quirky atmosphere and crowd interaction. Like the Citizens of Buena Vista Street, their shows are fun and uniquely Disney, and they really make Buena Vista Street come alive.
And finally, you can meet Mickey and his pals on Buena Vista Street. They like to hang-out by the ornate fountain. The characters rotate out throughout the day, and they are usually wearing era-appropriate garb from the 1920s.

Is there anything to eat or drink on Buena Vista Street?
Yes, Buena Vista Street is Disney California Adventure Park is home to dining options at various price points. You can grab a cup of coffee to go or sit down for a fine dining experience.
Let’s start with the fine dining. At the south end of Buena Vista Street there is an ornate white tower. This is a tribute to the theater which premiered Walt Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and the building houses Carthay Circle Restaurant and Carthay Circle Lounge. The first is a well-regarded table service restaurant, and the second is the bar area which also serves light fare. The theme for both is sophisticated flavors, retro cocktails and Golden Age of Hollywood.
Carthay Circle is a nice place for a special occasion meal. Guests 21 and over can purchase alcohol here as well as at many other locations around the park.
On the other side of Buena Vista Street’s Fountain is Fiddler, Fife and Practical Cafe. This dining spot honors the early Disney cartoon, Three Little Pigs, and you may be noticing a trend here: Buena Vista Street as a whole pays tribute to the early days of the Walt Disney Company. Fiddler, Fife and Practical Cafe is effectively the Starbucks for Disney California Adventure Park, and it has lots of beverage options as well as bakery items. It is also notable for having indoor seating.
Just around the corner, Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream has, well, ice cream, and Trolley Treats has more bakery items and candy. Keep heading towards the main entrance to Mortimer’s Market for grab-and-go snacks; Clarabelle’s and Trolley Treats are quick service locations, and Mortimer’s is more of a snack stand. You should also be able to find popcorn and churro stands near the fountain.
Can I buy merchandise on Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure Park?
Yes. Buena Vista Street has a high concentration of shops including: Elias & Co, Julius Katz & Sons, Kingswell Shop and Oswald’s. Disney California Adventure Park’s Buena Vista Street is an area where one shop kind of flows into the next with some souvenir coin locations mixed in for good measure.
Buena Vista Street is a good place to shop if you are looking for vacation souvenirs. It is also a helpful location if you forgot something practical, like sunscreen, that you need for a day at Disney California Adventure Park.
