This is an entry in our Disneyland 101 Glossary: Disneyland Resort definitions in under 101 words, from Mouse Brief.
At times, you may hear other guests of Disneyland Resort refer to “fastpass” or even “maxpass” as a way of reserving a time to experience attractions. These are names for older and now defunct versions of what are now Lightning Lane services at Disneyland Resort, and other guests may be confused or using the names interchangeably. There are currently no max or fastpasses.
For current paid services for reserving attraction arrival windows and avoiding standby lines, look into Lightning Lanes, with premier, multi and single passes. Occasionally, virtual queues are also in use for no additional cost.
