Apple AirTags and Tile trackers are both on sale for the 2024 winter holiday season. Maybe you are considering stuffing a couple stockings with some of these tiny trackers, or maybe you already have some stashed away. In any case, we have compiled a quick look at how we make use of Apple AirTags in Disneyland Resort.
A note before we begin: we have used and liked both Apple AirTags and Tile trackers ( the equivalent for Android users). The majority of our experience is with Apple AirTags, so that is what we are going to refer to in the article. Our suggestions should work with Tiles as well. We have links for both at the bottom of this post.
Here we go, tips for using Tiles, and Air Tags in Disneyland Resort:
We Clip Apple AirTags to Our Stroller in Disneyland
If you have read our article Strollers at Disneyland Resort: Quick Tips and Strategies you know that cast members sometimes move strollers. It is a good thing they do, because it helps keep the walkways clear and safe. However, it means we sometimes have trouble finding our stroller. Now, we clip an Apple Air Tag to our stroller and use the “Find My” app to map its location in the sea of strollers.
They’re Also Good for Reuniting in Disneyland!
Because of the high volume of people visiting Disneyland, the maps on the “Find My” app are astoundingly accurate. When we split up for Rider Switch at Disneyland, sometimes we will just use the app and Apple AirTags to find the part of our group with the stroller. Using the app is easier than describing exactly which themed light post we are standing by. Similarly, Apple Air Tags helps us find our stroller in Disneyland if one person left it parked somewhere and has a hard time describing the location.
We have also been known to clip AirTags to our kids when they are in crowded playspaces like Redwood Creek Challenge Trail or the one in Mickey’s Toontown.
We Track Our Luggage
Travel involves a lot of moving parts (literally), and sometimes luggage goes missing. We clip an Apple AirTag to each of our baggage pieces and track their location. We use the “Find My” app to see the rough location of our bags during our travel. In addition to helping us track lost pieces, this also provides peace of mind: it is always a relief to see that your luggage is in the same city as you are, even if it has not dropped onto the baggage carousel yet. Note: we clip the Apple Air Tags to the inside of the bags on a pocket and not on the outside where they could get knocked-off.

Apple Air Tag Cases for Disneyland
Apple AirTags are tiny slippery disks. They really are not designed to attach to anything unless you add a case. We use clip cases for most purposes, but we also use keychain style cases for tracking keys and earbuds.

Tile Trackers for Android Users in Disneyland
As we mentioned, we previously used Tile tracking devices. These are tracking devices for Android users. They are usable straight out of the box and come in several different forms. We like the ones that are adhesive like a sticker and with a hole for a key ring. One type of Tile even is a slim card you can slip into a wallet. Here is a variety pack with all three types of Tile trackers.
