Many quick service restaurants, carts and kiosks around the Disneyland Resort will allow you to order in advance using the Disneyland app. These eateries will be marked in the app with an icon and “Mobile Order.” You can select the restaurant and then an available future pick-up time that works for you before selecting your food and drink items. You will also pay through the app as you submit your order. When your food is ready, you will pick it up from the eatery at a window or other spot designated specifically for mobile order pick-up.

Mobile Ordering at Disneyland Resort, FAQs

Here are some frequently asked questions about mobile ordering at Disneyland Resort. You can find the guide to using this service here: Disneyland Mobile Ordering Guide. That guide has straightforward instructions to using the service, but for answers to particular questions, keep reading.

How much does it cost to use mobile ordering at Disneyland Resort?

While you do have to pay for the items you order, the mobile ordering service at Disneyland Resort is free. You can use mobile ordering to pre-order food and beverages from participating quick service locations. You pay for your items at the time you order them, but there is no additional fee for the service. You pay the same amount as you would if you ordered the items in person.

Just remember, if you order food from a dining service location inside one of the theme parks, you will need to have valid admission to the theme park in order to pick-up that food. Some mobile order restaurants, like Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill, are outside of the theme parks. You do not need park admission to use the mobile ordering service for restaurants outside of the theme parks.

For advice on admission choices, please see Your Guide to Disneyland Resort Tickets and Park Reservations.

Can I use a Disney gift card with the mobile order service at Disneyland Resort?

Yes, a Disney gift card is a valid form of payment compatible with mobile order at Disneyland Resort. In addition to Disney gift cards, you can also use Disney Rewards Dollars, credit cards and debit cards. You cannot pay for mobile orders with cash.

Which restaurants have mobile order?

The number of restaurants that use mobile ordering at Disneyland Resort has been increasing. It is best to check the Disneyland mobile app for the most current list, and there are some basic guidelines to help you quickly identify mobile order dining locations.

Generally, quick service locations at Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Hotel offer mobile order. Table service locations do not offer mobile ordering, and usually snack stands do not either.

You can find mobile order locations on the Disneyland Resort app by selecting “Order Food” in the app menu. From here, you should see a list of restaurants organized by location.

You can also preview mobile order restaurants from the map section of the app. Select the “Dining” tab above the map and look at the bubble icons on the map. Some show simply a fork and knife, these are pointing to any kind of dining location. Others show a fork and knife in a dark circle in front of a rectangle. Those with the rectangle icon are pointing to restaurants with mobile order.

You can also filter dining locations for mobile ordering on the Disneyland website here.

Why would I want to use mobile order at Disneyland Resort?

We like mobile order for a few reasons:

(1) In our experience, it does reduce our time spent waiting at restaurants for our food. Yes, your food is not ready instantly, but you can do other things besides wait in line for it. We like to get an order ready while we are waiting in line for an attraction: it’s like that line is doing double the work!

(2) Being able to order from the mobile device takes away some pressure for particular eaters. You can review menu items with your kids without worrying about making the other guests in line behind you wait.

(3) Mobile ordering makes it easy for us to order items from multiple dining locations. With mobile ordering, we can coordinate pick-up windows at multiple restaurants without waiting in line between orders.

For example, this is nice when one person wants some ramen from San Fransokyo Square while another wants french fries from Flo’s V8 in Cars Land. We also like to match a Ronto Wrap from Ronto Roasters with a plant-based Felucian Kefta Garden Spread from Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, both in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

What happens if I do not pick-up my mobile order from a Disneyland Resort restaurant?

When you place your mobile order, you will designate a pick-up time. When you reach that arrival window, you will then need to do one more step before you can pick-up your food. You will need to push a button on the app indicating that you are nearby and the restaurant should get your food ready. (See our guide for explanations of all of the steps.)

Generally, if you never push the “I’m here” button, your food will not be prepared, and you will not be charged for your order. You can also modify or cancel your order. This was true at the time of writing, but Disney can and does change policies like this, so we would suggest only making mobile orders you do plan to collect.
