Deals on Items We Use for Family Travel, Prime Days & Beyond

Traveling together is one of the great joys of family life, but when you have young kids, the preparation for trips can feel stressful. On this blog, we like to share items that have made travel smoother and more enjoyable for our family. We often focus on Disney travel essentials (and nice-to-haves), but we also like to share our experience with travel to other destinations. Today, we are sharing family travel items that are on sale for Amazon Prime Days. Keep reading for links to these items and how we use them in our travel with kids to Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World and beyond.

We receive a small commission from Amazon for referring you with the product links below, but the price you pay does not change. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, which helps support this blog. Thank you!

Electronics for Disney Parks & Family Trips

For Prime Days, the best discounts are often on electronics. Here are a few items we use each time we travel. These are especially useful in the Disney Parks.

We always travel with back-up batteries, power banks, portable chargers or whatever you want to call them. We think these are essential for air travel and for booking those Lightning Lanes while we are in the Disney Parks. (We have a while article about it here: Essential Disneyland Accessory: Why We Use a Power Bank.) If you are shopping for the holidays, these little electronics also make great stocking stuffers.

Here are a few power banks we recommend:

A powerbank with built-in USB-C and Lightning Lane chargers.

This is what I carry with me for travel but also for everyday use. I highly recommend grabbing one of these on sale now.

Powerful back-up battery with a USB-C cable.

You might notice a trend here. I really like my power banks with the cables built-in: we have plenty that need external cables, but these with integrated cables are the ones I grab first. Here is one with just USB-C from Anker. We really like Anker batteries.

Comfy Kid-sized headphones for travel.

We use electronic entertainment to keep our kids busy while we travel, and we use headphones so they can keep the sounds of Daniel Tiger, Pokemon or Elsa to themselves. While we know well made headphones can make a big difference in sound quality, we also do not like giving our kids high-end headphones for travel. Of course, everyone’s needs are different, but we find JLab has some nice economical headphones for kids, and the ones from Belkin linked above also seem like a solid choice.

Apple air tags for strollers, luggage and more.

Prime Days are a good time to grab some Apple AirTags on sale. We use these to keep track of luggage on flights and strollers at attractions. You can read more about how we use them at Disney Parks here: How We Use Apple AirTags in Disneyland

Discounts on Travel Fun for Kids

We also have plenty of screen-free options we turn to for kids’ travel entertainment. Here are some nice options on sale right now:

Magnetic Bluey Playset for Travel

We love magnetic playsets for planes, cars and hotel rooms. One of our favorites is our Bluey set.

Magnetic Dress-up Doll Playset

Here is another magnetic travel set from one of our all-time favorite toy brands.

Spot-It Card Game with Bluey

And on the subject of Bluey… here is one of our favorite portable games with a Bluey theme. And here is a Disney-Pixar themed version.

Metallic Travel Art Set

We enjoy Ooly art materials and have quite a few Ooly markers of different types. Here’s a fun metallic art set.

AN OLD CLASSIC updated for travel

We have this specific Guess Who? set and find it to be nice for travel and easily portable compared to the original.

Practical Travel Essentials

Finally, here are a few practical items we use when we travel in case you want to snap them up during these discount days.

No-Tangle No-Pinch GoGGLe strap covers

This is a funny little addition to our list and one of our favorite pool or beach hacks for kids: a grippy, floating, cute goggle-strap cover. We think these make goggles more comfortable and easy to take on and off. Other parents see these and ask about them all the time.

A Great Re-Usable Water Bottle

We think these water bottles are great for kids and adults. Just choose your size and color to suit the person. Several types are on sale.

Tough but Stylish Sunglasses

Our favorite easy-to-pack and easy-to-wear sunglasses are one sale right now. There are lots of colors and styles. If the link above does not fully fit your fashion preferences, keep looking.
