Fairfield Anaheim Resort is a Marriott branded hotel located east of Disneyland Resort on Harbor Boulevard. We have personally stayed here and would again because we like the…
Fairfield’s Location Near Disneyland
The Fairfield is not the closest hotel to the parks of Disneyland Resort, but it is not far down the list! To get to the parks, we exit the hotel and head south on Harbor Boulevard. We cross one street (Harbor Blvd) to get to the resort entrance. It takes us about seven minutes to get from the hotel to the security gate. Once we have our bags checked at security, we walk to the turnstiles at Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park in no time at all.
Depending on foot traffic, this hotel is arguably a shorter walk from the parks than either Disneyland Hotel or Pixar Place Hotel. When we are traveling with kids, we particularly like that Fairfield is so near Disneyland, we only need to cross one street to reach the resort. The crossing has a traffic light and distinctly marked crosswalk with pedestrian signals. We think this is also good for solo travelers and really any visitors!
Functional and Pleasant Common Space
We were pleasantly surprised by the amenities found on the third floor of this hotel. There is a fair size common area with plenty of tables and chairs as well as two microwaves and toasters. We found these helpful for reheating leftovers and toasting bagels from the nearby Panera. This lounge is where our early risers went to eat breakfast while others slept in. A fitness room and arcade are also connected to the lounge. Even with the arcade, we thought this lounge area was fairly quiet. During our stay, it was peaceful than hanging-out in the ground floor lobby by the check-in desks and busy elevators. It also made for a decent place to get some work done.
This was a pretty simply furnished area, but it was surprisingly pleasant with nice natural light and an out-of-the-way location.
Fairfield’s Standard Rooms That Can Sleep Up to Five
When we booked our room, a helpful hotel employee told us that all standard rooms at the Fairfield include sofa beds or sleeper chairs. Lots of families or groups travel to Disneyland Resort together, and we think an extra sleeping surface is a nice and helpful amenity. The sleeper chair was small, but it works well for a child or small adult.
Option to Use or Earn Marriott Hotel Points
Marriott has an extensive roster of hotels. We like that we can earn or use hotel points while staying at the Fairfield. When we save money with free nights, we can return sooner! Marriott’s points program is called “Bonvoy,” and it offers the opportunity to earn points through hotel stays, money spent at select restaurants and use of branded credit cards.
Disneyland Park Fireworks Views!
The rooms at this nine-story hotel are accessed by outdoor walkways. No matter where our room is located, we can find a spot on these common walkways to watch the fireworks display from Disneyland Park. Fairfield categorizes some rooms as theme park rooms, and these also have light Disney theming in the decor. If you are hoping to watch fireworks during your stay, do keep in mind that fireworks are not scheduled every night. They are sometimes also canceled due to weather conditions.
We like staying at the Fairfield Anaheim Resort by Marriott. It is one of the great choices for accommodations near Disneyland Resort, and it might be a good fit for you!
